Carroll Fellows Initiative Labor Day Orientation - Fall 2014

This past weekend, Carroll Fellows gathered in Copley Formal Lounge for a day of reflection and dancing for Labor Day Orientation.

Students listened to a presentation by Paul Healy (COL '15) and Sarah Long (MSB '16) on current CFI initiatives such as alumni involvement and a newsletter. Seniors discussed future projects for the CFI, while sophomores and juniors had the opportunity to speak with Alexander O'Neill (COL '15), Hannah Schneider (COL ' 15), Tom Christiansen (SFS '15), and Shea Houlihan (SFS '13) about the benefits of taking a semester off from the Hilltop.

For the afternoon, Fellows learned to square-dance from the famous Harold MacMcCall, a regular at Georgetown University's Senior Picnic. Students enjoyed choreographed dances that ranged from the Virginia Reel to the electric slide, from the Cotton Eye-Joe to Alan Jackson's 'Good Times.’
